Imagine in a small sunny corner of the mountains at the bottom of a valley, a vast stone amphitheatre sheltering three open-air pools of hot sulphurous water… You are indeed in Saint-Thomas-les-Bains in the small commune of Fontpédrouse, at an altitude of 1150 m where a fantastic 58-degree hot spring gushes out, with benefits that have been recognised for a very long time.
Three outdoor pools at a temperature of around 37°C have been set up there, equipped with Jacuzzis and massage jets as well as two temperature-controlled natural thermal water shower ramps. The interior space will offer you two hammam rooms with progressive temperatures, scented with eucalyptus essential oils and equipped with chromotherapy ambient lighting (fibre optics) with a cold pool and showers. You will also discover a relaxation and wellness area with two large jacuzzis, a rest and relaxation area, three treatment and massage rooms, a sauna and a hammam as well as a tea room.
The thermal water of Saint-Thomas is classified among the hottest of the Pyrenean type (58° C). It is sulphurised, bicarbonated, rich in fluorine, total silica and trace elements. Its thermal plankton makes it light and soft for the skin. This exceptional water, naturally used, has an analgesic, relaxing, anti-allergic and healing action. Water that feels good!
The temperature of the pools varies according to the climatic requirements: 34° to 38° C. The place is ideal for families, the maximum depth of the baths is 1.20 m. Les Bains de Saint-Thomas welcomes you all year round from 10 am to 7.40 pm. During the season, night sessions are organised with an extended opening up to 1 hour.
